THE REDS ARE HEADING BACK TO WEMBLEY! | LC Fulham (a)

To be honest, I was fully expecting Fulham to get two goals in the first half, then for the Reds to score a 95th minute winner in emphatic fashion.
What actually happened was a fairly straight forward affair, with a little sprinkling of risk. I think they do it on purpose, you know. That risk. They love it. I don’t. Or do I? I think I might do.
The young lads were fantastic. Again. It’s probably the first time this season where I’ve thought Jurgen was slightly wrong with his subs. I mean, who am I to question him? I’m literally no one, so for me to say that is a bit silly, but I do think the team was a bit disjointed when MacAllister and Nunez went off. Anyway, who cares. The Reds are heading back to Wembley with a chance to lift a pot - albeit a small one.
It would be massive for them to win this. It’s probably the least important out of the four competitions, but to win it should really add to the already good vibes that are running through the club currently, and winning a trophy is never a bad thing.
Jurgen said post-match that he ‘told the boys 'never, ever, ever take for granted that you are part of a club who can win trophies’ and I think the same should ring true for those who follow the club too. Whether you’ve supported the club for 60 years, or for 60 days, whether you're from Liverpool, or you're not, try not to take Jurgen (and this era) for granted. The good days don’t last forever in football, but until the bad days come, let’s try to enjoy the good ones.
Up the reds.
