#16 The Tricky Reds go marching on | PL Crystal Palace (a)

Here, I tell ya what. I was fuming with that first 45. In fact, scratch that. I was fuming with that first 75. Awful. How good is this Liverpool team? I honestly couldn’t tell you. It’s as if they decide to go a goal down for a laugh just to see if they can go on and win the game. I’d love a comfortable win at some point. I’d really love that. I thought Liverpool got away with the penalty that was overturned, you know. If it was the other way around I’d be calling the ref every name under the Sun. I just think it was really weak from Endo. He had a really tough afternoon, as did a lot of the Reds. It'd be lovely if one of the Liverpool coaching staff would teach Darwin Nunez the offside rule. Anyway, enough of the negativity. Alisson Becker. Alisson Becker. Wow. If Liverpool want to go on and win silverware this season, he is the one who’ll make the difference. He seems to be getting better and better every season, which is mad given he's been the best keeper in the world for the past 4 years anyway. There's not a keeper that comes close to him. His performance against Man City was below his usual standard, but today was him at his best. So assured, so confident, so quick off the mark to get to the opposition player. Best Liverpool keeper I’ve ever seen. Comfortably. It’s funny what happens when you put the best goalscorer in the team closer to the goal. Liverpool need to get out of this habit of letting Mo Salah stand by the touchline for the first 80 minutes of games. He's never really been that player at Liverpool anyway, so not sure why they think he will thrive out on the wing now he's 31? At times he’s 30 yards away from the goal when Liverpool are in decent positions to score. Get him as close to the goal as possible. There’s a reason he’s scored 200 Liverpool goals - he’s an incredible goal scorer. What a player. Finally, Harvey Elliott. Delighted for him. He just desperately wants to see the Reds win games, and I love it when he scores the deciding goals. It’s a great finish, and he’s slowly becoming an integral part of this journey. More of it please.
