#9 Derby day delight | PL Everton (h)
- Dreadfully Drawn

I know it’s easy to mock Everton, but bloody hell, they deserve better than Sean Dyche as manager. He’s known for his horrendous style of football, and obviously it’s sometimes effective, but even by his standards that was bad. At least his Burnley team were lethal from corners. They’d hold on for 88 minutes, scramble a corner, send all the 6 foot 7 lads up and scrape a draw. Everton looked like they were going to concede every time they got a corner. I was practically celebrating whenever they got one. Liverpool weren’t great, and the whole thing felt very flat. Just bin off 12:30 kick-offs. They’re crap for everyone involved - even those watching at home. They’re crap. I feared the worst when Ashley Young put that block in on Luis Diaz’s shot. I thought, “oh no, here we go again”. We don’t have Divock Origi. Where is he? Someone go pick him up and get him in the ground just incase. Truth be told, it always felt like either Liverpool would find a bit of magic from somewhere, or Everton would just do something mad. Turns out they didn’t really do much wrong. Well, apart from Ashley Young, but I think that’s a conversation about refereeing again, and I can’t be arsed with that.

Jurgen’s substitutes were excellent, I thought. Harvey Elliot came on and just ran rings around their midfield, who had a good game by all accounts. The Reds piled the pressure on once Dyche brought all his centre-backs on, then inevitable happened - Salah scored a brace and the Reds won.
One good thing about the 12:30 kick offs is that when you win, you can enjoy the weekend’s football carefree, which is exactly what I’ll be doing.
Up the Merseyside Reds.
