Honestly, how did the Reds win that there? After 20 minutes I wanted to kick their heads in. Not really, but I was livid with them all. Trent was all over the place trying to catch Claire Balding, Virgil - although I don’t think it was a red - nearly booted Isak over the river and into Sunderland and Robertson was giving the ball away whenever he possibly could. They were doing my head in. To be fair though, I thought they played alright after the red card, given the circumstances. It wasn’t a good watch, but it was pragmatic and it seemingly worked.

I often criticise Jurgen’s substitutes. I love him, and who am I to question what he does, but I think they’re the weakest part of his in-game management. Again, who am I to say that? I think he frequently leaves it too late, or he takes the wrong person off, and I thought he’d done that with Diaz, but he got it spot on today. Get to 75, 1-0 down and just go for it. Up steps the best striker in world football, Darwin Nunez. So clinical when it mattered. They’re difficult finishes, them. Fair play. Love that he always gives it the big one too. What a man. Aston Villa is a big one next Sunday but if (yes, if) they can get 3 points from that, I’d have taken that start to the season all day long. Up the tricky reds. Download the free wallpaper below!
