I’m glad they got that win there. Not only would social media have been a nightmare for the next 48 hours, but I do reckon it would have put a massive dent on the team’s targets for this season. Of course, a defeat wouldn’t have been season-ending, but you just can’t throw three points away like they were about to. You should have heard what I was saying when Fulham got that third goal. It’s probably best I keep it to myself, but put it this way, Darwin’s new hairstyle was getting severely berated. Have you ever seen such a contrast in quality of goals scored? All three of Fulham’s goals were a shambles. Genuine shambles. That was mainly down to Liverpool being atrocious for them all. All four of Liverpool’s goals were special. It depends how you have your glass, as to whether you see that as a good win, or whether you’re concerned about the level of performance. I’m normally a half-full person when it comes to football, but I was very, very nearly a glass half-empty. It was like Liverpool of old at times. And not the good Liverpool.

I’ve always been of the opinion that Adidas Predators are the best football boot of all time. Find me a better football boot. Since Trent Alexander-Arnold started wearing them, his performances seem to have gone up an extra 5-10%. He looks much happier playing in midfield, and also in Adidas Predators. That winning goal. Gerrard-esque. There when Liverpool need him most. Not the first time he’s popped up with a late winner, either. Some player. I’m so chuffed for Endo, too. Massive goal, especially if the reds go on and do something this season. It could be a goal that we look back on and say it was key to our success. Who knows, at this point. I have a sneaking suspicion one of these times the game is going to get away from the Reds. It’s fine winning like this occasionally, but continually relying on late goals to pull points back is risky. Yeah, it’s fun, and it’s exhilarating, but I don’t think it’s what title winning teams do. Time will tell as to whether they can cut out the silly mistakes, but the quicker they get #1 back in goal, the better all of our lives will be.
