These Reds. Absolutely no desire to do things the easy way. Goal difference? What about it?
The game was pretty drab, by all accounts. Even after the Sheffield United goal, it did always feel like Liverpool would find a way, but I wasn’t expecting it to be like that. I mean, lad, he’s absolutely unreal isn’t he? I said it before, and I’ll say it again, I think he’s the player I look forward to watching the most. Genuinely one of the all time great goals. Perfect. And I’ll tell ya right now, if that proves to be this season’s “Vincent Kompany” moment, I might finally accept what happened on that night in 2019. The goal difference has gone up slightly, which, by all accounts is absolutely fine. I’m happy for it to go up +1 between now and the end of the season. That would be ideal.
There’s a league to be won here, and I wanna win it. Special mention to Cody Gakpo who has shut a few people up tonight too.
