Football is an easy game to understand and play, but there are so many factors to a game of football. Obviously quality helps, but it’s not the be-all. You need to win your battles. You need to be quicker than your opposition. You need to be able to change and adapt. You need to be able to head the fucking ball. Just head the ball.

With that in mind, it’s probably not the best tactical decision to give Sean Dyche’s team a game of ‘who can win the most headers in the box’. I’m not here to drag individual players down, I don’t like doing that - at least not publicly anyway - but some of them haven't turned up when it really matters.

Not enough urgency, not enough desire. Lads, it was there on a plate for you. The trophy we all wanted was there on a plate for you, and now it’s not. Football is a game that consists of two teams trying to put a ball into the net of the opposing team’s net.  Obviously quality helps, but it’s not the be-all. You need to win your battles. You need to be quicker than your opposition. You need to be able to change and adapt. You need to be able to put the ball in the back of the fucking net. Just put the ball in the back of the net. Not good enough. The season, and Jurgen's time at the club is ending on a whimper and it’s not an enjoyable experience at all.
